International Women’s Day: Honors to recognize social service

Puttur: On behalf of the Union of Dakshina Kannada District Women’s Mandals, Mangalore, on the occasion of World Women’s Day, Dr. Nayana Rai of Puttur and her special spirited daughter, Medini, were recognized for their social service at the Mangalore City Hall and tried to bring them into the mainstream by encouraging them to live independently in the society. Veena Ji Bhatt was felicitated.

 

Senior Civil Judge, District Legal Services Authority Secretary Shobha BG inaugurated the programme.
Mangalore South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, DK District Women’s Mandals Union President Chanchala Tejomaya, Honorary President Premalatha Rao, Vice President Usha Nayka were present on the stage as honorary presence.
Shanti Hegde, president of taluk women’s unions, Purnima Shetty, secretary, members Surekha Hebbar, Rohini Raghava Acharya, Vatsala Rajni assisted.
