Pro Kabaddi Tournament to be held at Darbe on 21st January

Puttur: Sound, Light, Shamiya and Decoration Committee led by D.K. 8 Team Pro Type Mat Court Kabaddi Tournament in collaboration with District Amateur Kabaddi Association and Puttur Taluk Amateur Kabaddi Association. Suresh Rai Sudimulla, Honorary President of the Sound, Light, Shamiyana and Decoration Association said that match will be held in front of mangala hotel on 21st.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, he said that MLA Sanjiva Mathandur will inaugurate the tournament. D.K. District Central Cooperative Bank Director Sasikumar Rai will inaugurate the Balyottu Stadium. Ashok Kumar Rai of Kodimabadi Rai Estate will preside. Former MLA Shakuntala Shetty, MESCOM Director Kishore Kumar, Puttur Nagar Police Station Inspector Sunil Kumar, Shree Mahalingeshwar Temple Management Committee President Keshavprasad Muli and many others will be the chief guests. In the Kabaddi tournament, there will be a Rasamanjari program, an exhibition , an award ceremony, and the closing ceremony will be held on the morning of January 22.

On the same occasion, former captain of Kerala state kabaddi team Abdul Jabbar IP, district awardee Dayanand Rai Kormanda, former municipal president Rajesh Bannur will be honoured. At the beginning of the Kabaddi tournament, a trophy procession will be held from Puttur Gandhikatte to Darbey in the evening, he said.
President Shyam Manjunath Prasad, moderator Ashraf Roja, Govardhan Shetty Kaverikatte were present in the press conference.
